During Covid pandemic PM Modi launched bunch of schemes. NCDC Sahakar Mitra scheme is an inspiring scheme for youths. In addition, Sahakar Mitra scheme is similar scheme. Minister Shri N S Tomar launched this scheme on 11 June 2021.
Vision of Sahakar Mitra Scheme :
This scheme is a package to make interns an entrepreneurs. In short, GOI wants to utilize intern’s innovation for coutries growth. These interns will turn into future entrepreneurs.
Interns trained in NCDC may emerge as entrepreneur. In addition, interns will get support in starting business. So this scheme will produce more business.
Rural population and farming needs to grow for economical growth. keeping this vision in mind Central Government initiated Sahakar Mitra. Cooperatives need lot of improvement. In spite of funding, additionally it needs innovation.
Keeping all these situations in mind Government has launched Sahakar Mitra scheme.
NCDC role in Sahakar Mitra Scheme :
Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare ministry has started this scheme. Moreover, NCDC will operate this scheme. In fact, NCDC is responsible for complete operation of this scheme. In other words for selecting interns, assigning projects to them NCDC is responsible.

Benefits to interns :
- Interns will get realtime work experience in NCDC offices. They will get the functioning knowledge of NCDC.
- In addition, NCDC will assign projects to interns. This will give lot of working exposure to interns. So it is something like a job opportunity to the interns.
- As part of Atmanirbhar Bharat, they will get option to grow as entrepreneur.
- Moreover, interns will get stipend also. NCDC will pay a stipend of 10000 rupees monthly for 4 months.
- Interns will get total 45000 rupees in this program. NCDC will pay extra 5000 INR after completing assignment. They need to follow certain conditions also for payments.

Graduates and MBA students are eligible. Additionally, applicants need recommendation letter from Department Head or Dean of college.

Selection process for interns :
Additionally, Interns must have recommendation letter from Head of Department. NCDC Committe will take final decision on interns selection process.
Stipend details:
In addition, interns will also get stipend from NCDC. In fact, a circular has been issued by NCDC.

Conclusion
Indian cooperative sector is facing lot of challenges. However, lot of support given by Govrnment, it is not growing. So Government took lot of steps to improve it. Even Private companies failed to build cooperatives. Therefore, NCDC started taking few initiatives like Sahakar Mitra scheme.
